Board & Train Programs
Our Board & Train programs offer immersive, structured training in a home environment, perfect for busy owners or dogs needing a fresh start.
Your dog stays with a professional trainer and works daily on the behaviours and skills that matter most. At the end of their stay, you'll get a transfer lesson and lifetime support to help keep progress going strong at home.
Foundational Board & Train
Duration: 2 Week Board & Train
Cost: $3000.00 + HST
Who is This For? The two week program is our most basic program and is only for dogs needing help with basic house manners and loose leash walking. While your dog is with us, we will start the foundations for their recall; however, there is no off-leash obedience included in this program.
What's Included: A slip leash, Herm Sprenger Prong Collar (as needed), and place bed. At the conclusion of the board & train portion, you will receive a transfer lesson, followed by one free follow up lesson at a time of your choosing. You will also have support for the life of your dog via phone, text, or email.
Four Week Board & Train
(Most Popular Program)
Duration: 4 Week Board & Train
Cost: $4000.00 + HST
Who is This For? The four week program is our most popular program for a reason, covering a vast variety of training goals. From reactivity and resource guarding, to off-leash freedom and advanced obedience, this program will send your dog home with a variety of new skills on and off leash.
What's Included: A slip leash, Herm Sprenger Prong Collar (as needed), E-Collar Technologies brand E-collar, and place bed. During the board & train, your dog will go on generalized field trips to local stores and suburbs. At the conclusion of the board & train portion, you will receive a transfer lesson, followed by three free follow up lessons at a time of your choosing. You will also have support for the life of your dog via phone, text, or email.
Six Week Board & Train
(Premium Program)
Duration: 6 Week Board & Train
Cost: $6000.00 + HST
Who is This For? The six week program is practical for all the dogs included in the four week program, but may be recommended by your trainer to give extra time to practice and proof your dog's new skills in situations that they may find challenging such as stores, walks in certain parks and neighborhoods, or patios. This program is more catered towards dogs with particular struggles and has more flexibility to train in specific scenarios that your dog may struggle with as opposed to standard field trips.
What's Included: A slip leash, Herm Sprenger Prong Collar (as needed), E-Collar Technologies brand E-collar, and place bed. During the board & train, your dog will go on extra field trips to specific stores, scenarios, and suburbs to cater to your dog's specific goals. At the conclusion of the board & train portion, you will receive a transfer lesson, followed by three free follow up lessons at a time of your choosing. You will also have support for the life of your dog via phone, text, or email.
Refresher Week
(For Graduates Only)
Duration: One Week (multiple weeks may be purchased)
Cost: $850.00 + HST
Who is This For? This program is only eligible for dogs who have fully completed training programs with Civil Canine. During this week, we will refresh your dog on the skills they already know that might have gotten a little rusty. No new curriculum is included in this program.
What's Included: A refresher lesson at the end of the week to update and refresh you on all the training your dog has done.
If you require any equipment that may have been misplaced or broken, it can be purchased separately upon request.
